About the Deaconess Ministry

At Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, our Deaconess Ministry serves with hearts devoted to compassion, prayer, and service. Guided by God’s Word and the Holy Spirit, we support the Pastor, Deacons, and congregation through acts of love, encouragement, and hospitality.

We are women of faith who dedicate ourselves to nurturing the spiritual and physical needs of the church family—especially new members, the sick and shut-in, and those in times of transition. Whether preparing communion, assisting with baptism, or extending comfort to families in need, we strive to reflect the grace and humility of Christ in all we do.

Our ministry stands on the truth of Romans 12:10 — “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.”

Through prayer, unity, and service, the Deaconess Ministry seeks to be a light within the church and community—rooted in love, growing in faith, and serving with purpose.
