2026 VBS UPDATE

Due to church renovations, VBS will not be held in 2026.

We will truly miss sharing this special time with our children and families, but we are excited for what God has ahead.

Stay tuned for VBS 2027 — it will be a celebration you will not want to miss!

VBS 2026: I’m Hooked!

Join us for three fun-filled nights of faith, friendship, and unforgettable memories as we learn what it means to follow Jesus and be “fishers of people.”

ABOUT VBS

Vacation Bible School at Oak Ridge is a high-energy, Jesus-centered experience designed for kids to learn God’s Word in a fun and meaningful way.

Each night includes:

  • Worship + music

  • Bible lesson + discussion

  • Games + activities

  • Crafts

  • Snacks

  • Small group time

 

Theme for 2026: I’m Hooked!
Theme verse: Matthew 4:19 — “Follow me… and I will make you fishers of people.”

Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church

  • Dates: June 2–4, 2026

  • Meal served at 5:30 PMVBS begins at 6:30 PM

  • Ends at 8:30 PM

  • Cost: Free (Dinner included each day)

WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL EXPERIENCE

Your child will:

  • Learn God’s Word and Bible truths in ways they can understand and apply

  • Grow in faith while building healthy friendships in a safe, loving space

  • Make fun, meaningful crafts and projects to take home

  • Enjoy movement, games, and music with lots of joy and energy

  • Be encouraged, seen, supported, and loved—just like family

 

What to wear:

Come as you are! Comfortable play clothes and shoes are best since we’ll be moving around, playing games, and having lots of fun.

TEACHERS + VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Join us for inspiring worship services every Sunday. Experience the power of community and faith as we come together to praise, pray, and learn. TEACHERS + VOLUNTEERS NEEDED.

Volunteer roles we need:

  • Nursery Staff

  • Bible Lesson Leaders

  • Craft Leaders + Helpers

  • Games/Recreation Leaders

  • Culinary Team

  • Check-in/Registration Team

  • Decorations/Set-Up Team

  • Tech/Media Team (slides/music)

  • Safety/Hallway Monitors

What to expect:

  • A clear plan and materials will be provided by the ORMBC VBS Ministry Head/Committee

  • A short training/orientation will be scheduled before VBS
